Hmm!

This GDPR has become the next big thing to SEO on the Internet.  Companies springing up in 100’s if not 1000's everyday promising to make websites GDPR complaint. These are opportunists trying to con businesses, I guess.

Great!

What a great User Experience all this EU GDPR actually is. Visiting a site, you will have to agree to 100 rules and conditions and also check manually 100 checkboxes.

That happens when someone make a law without knowing what he is actually doing. They didn't learn (the EU) anything from their cookie law crap.

I turned my opencart shop into a pressentation website just to be sure:))
With osclass it was easier.

Hi there,

I just added "item post/Item edit", now if the user it's not logged in you will need to add "I agree" checkbox (manually instructions provided).

Hi. Why don't you integrate this plugin in the core in the next update? And force all plugins makers adapt their plugins in order to make them gdpr compliant?

Just like Aficionado said, WP did it in the core. I updated 2 wp sites and it was easy. They provided also 90 % of the pricacy policy content.

@garciademarina
still have the problem at the portability_download radio input, you fix the value, but the name with [] is not working (at least for me)
just name="portability_download" works fine without the []

I think the reason is simple and stated by Osclass team several times (in other features), they prefer to do everything with plugins.

@cartagena68 Ops, fixed now.

Thanks for the notice. Regards

Right now there are not plans to integrate it to Osclass core as it can be done using hooks, however we will evaluate it.

That answer I knew already, but pugins are the first source of problems...When I see that a normal osclass owner has to use over 15-20 plugins.....that fact was the first noticed by me when I started with osclass. The forums are filled with conflicts between plugins. That's why I chosed not to use them and to chop the core as I pleased. And I'm happy with that for 1,5 years now.

How do you update your osclass? was doing the same and had to reinstall fresh updated osclass and start over as i couldn't track all changes and implement them after updating.

Let's stay on topic here, please. WP alone does not offer much without plugins, either.

Totally wrong what you say about WP. Plugins not needed apart from a Cookie maybe. Anyway.

For a professional WP project? Hardly, I use it and talk from experience. Also, GDPR in WP is virtually non-existent, there is no integration with anything, except privacy page. Anyway, please let's discuss plugin about GDPR for Osclass here, and stop waisting developer's time reading unrelated stuff...

1. I know all the changes I made.
2. Using github I managed to manually update ONLY critical security updates that were made.
Sorry for the offtopic subject. Do what you please. 1000 plugins if needed...just like a lego.
