« on: September 26, 2013, 12:40:22 pm »
Hi all, I noticed a problem with display of carousel in internet explorer 10, sometimes shows and sometimes not as soon as you refresh page, yet as soon as user is logged in refresh page and all images appear in carousel, odd?

Any suggestions?

Yeah dont use internet explorer!
On a more serious note, its the same with ie 9 too, if you put ie into compatibility mode all is fine.
There's not much you can do about it, apart from waiting for an update from the developer, or use a different browser.

Hate for internet explorer is a STRONG word, but it's every site builders nightmare, we have to redesign all our css differently to bow to the mighty IE problem

.
Hello guys, and OSClass friends ...

1.)
The eternal worldwide debate regarding MS Explorer, is unfortunately not about what developer,s and webmaster,s seemed,
but the fact that Mr. Gates browser, are overrepresented among general end users in many-many-many countries worldwide.
in a the small country of Denmark, where I live, is MS-Explorer approximated per. day.date market share as high as: 52,96 %
[quote) januar med til at øge markedsandelen af IE til 52,96 pct. (quote]

2.)
As web page provider Pro/SemiPro/Amateur (or server ditto) You/Me/Others can not afford to ignore this fact,
without it cost us visiting users, - and belive me the end users who have their computers with MS-Explorer installed,
do not care if our OSClass pages (or others) do not work for ,,their,, operating system !
If not,,, = So they just 1-2-Hey-Presto find another webpage without visual trouble.

3.)
And yes, hate is a strong, and did not need word, - which in this context is often used by hardcore coders and webmasters,
who having no touch (or or very little) with the real world, and the endusers, - their programs serve, - and make money from.

Please NOTE:
The above is not an acid reflux, only my five pennies opinion    ;)

s51 thank you for your elaborate on IE. I agree that IE support, full or at least essectial is important. But marketshare numbers are overblown in my opinion, 20% excluding desktop, 11-16% including mobile is more realistic (all versions included, from IE6 to IE10).

My post was indeed salted with a healthy amount of humor, but also with a proper advice, according to what I heard from people who test IE11 (it is faster then latest Chrome, hard to beleive it though).

Anyway, the solution of this problem requires in-depth investigation. First step is to reproduce the issue on another system with same/different IE10 version. After that, trial-and-error in tracking the problem within the plugin itself and included jquery library and js script. If the issue is not in there, then IE must be blamed, which is the obvious suspect.

I can't be of any more help with this.
