Ad Repost Plugin for 3.2

I welcome your thoughts David, I just thought it would be easier or make more sense using the dates to calculate that.

Well, it's a long story but I will try and make it short.

Here in America it's all about "giving". (Hence the holiday "Thanksgiving")

Example:

For exercise I go to the local high school and hit golf balls.

I enjoy listening to the high school band on Friday nights from a distance. (several blocks away)

The next morning I go to get my exercise and find trash that people has left the night before.

So, instead of getting my exercise from golf balls I pick up the trash. (giving back)

Here lately it's been a little much for me because the high school field is many hectares in size.

"why does it work so well" Because they give back to their community and they are much respected for it.

I think I got your point, and it makes sense (at least in countries that are about giving).
Here it would not work that well. People would instead register dozens of email accounts to be able to publish everything free.

Maybe it is a good idea also that the this plugin will support also the Ad Duration selection when an ad is posted.

My suggestion is that the "repost" action shoul bring the ad in front on the list (like a new ad). And that option should be available as premium option (to avoid spam) and should be available 1 time per 24 hours.
So, if 24 hours pased since you post or reposted your ad, you can repost-it again to bring it in front of the list, for a specified amount of money.
For example, if a premium ad fee is $1 for 7 days, a repost could be $0.10.

I can contribute just with my modest opinion and suggestions 
I think that the ideas are great but maybe there is material for two different plugins:
1) the first to give to the users the possibility to repost their ads. It helps because while the ads of the inactive users have to be inactivated, the more active users could just click a link to repost.
2) the second should be a sort of bump plugin, giving limited bumps per day to each user (it would be supercool if the users were able to buy other bumps  maybe in the future?)
Said that I obviously have no idea of how to make this and either if this is even possible, but would be great anyway

Right now i have some hundreds of ads and a lot of users waiting for a REPOST solution.

They are emailing me daily to ask how to.

Osclass maybe a great classifieds script BUT it FAILS to some fundamental areas, while the devs add Exotic new functions that nobody cares.

agree with u!so many problems and fundamental plugins can'be found!every week i see "new plugins"..should focus on core plugins first and then design and plug-ins do not necessarily need! Repost ads is a must plugin taht an advertising site may not work! but we have not yet ...!

To be honest i'm greatly dissapointed by Osclass right now. Makes our life hard and our monetization from the website difficult.

Still why Reposting is still an issue,  is beyond me. I simply don't get it. I manage classifieds websites for many years, and i haven't seen such missing functions.

 We try to add these features that users want, at least we try our best. With osclass.uservoice.com we try to listen all the request from our community, and to be honest, most of the new functionalities has been added because was the most rated ideas.

If there are missing features we will try to add them... re post expired listings for frontend users it's still not usable and we will fix this for next releases.

We need to continue improving of course, we try hard!

PS: What you need  it's not what everyone need, but we listen to any missing improvements or features.

Still i have yet to see a classifieds script without a Repost of an expired ad function. And i have seen and used each and every script, php or ASP/NET.

This is a basic function. Very basic.

hope that plugin will works with modern theme too!lot of people still using modern theme!
bender theme is to difficult to edit !

Uservoice is an extremely POOR way to collect information about what your followers want. Extremely Poor.
