<Resolved>osshaft_colors theme and payment plugin question
« on: December 02, 2013, 01:02:12 am »
Tom, was wondering if you could help to get my payment/menu and payment/pack pages from the payment plugin to render the same as the other pages in your osshaft_colors theme?  I've been trying to follow the advice given here: http://forums.osclass.org/plugin-payments/payment-switching-from-modern-to-bender-and-back-again/ but it isn't working right.  I've created the user-custom.php file and copied the bender format.  Then made changes under "New Functions" in your functions.php file also copying the bender functions.  It's just about there but the page renders incorrectly.  I've attached the two files in a txt format as I couldn't attach php files.  Thanks in advance.

I sure will take a look but I have never downloaded, installed or used any of the payment plugins so have no knowledge of them. Maybe once I setup your files I will get a better understanding of your question.

Hopefully others will jump in and educate us all. There are some very good coders out here.

Has anyone had a chance to look at this and help me out with it?  I am still unable to figure out how to make this work.  I've even tried to customize the bender theme to see if that would work but it doesn't.

Tom, have you had a chance to see if you can reproduce my issue with your copy of your theme?  I am still at a loss as to how to fix this.  Seems no one else is able to provide any help in this matter.  I tried posting in the thread I mentioned above but haven't received any help there.  Probably because it is an old thread.  I'm willing to pay you for your time.

No pay needed but no luck ether....

Very strange and it looks like we are not alone.
I get the problem no matter what theme I use it in. I've looked at the code so long I think I have it memorized...

Wish I had an answer for you. Keep on posting in General, plugins, jobs....

Tom, thanks for trying but that didn't work either.  Shouldn't there be a function in functions.php to go with the changes you made in user-custom.php?

Yes. I thought you had already made the changes.
Sorry.

I;ll take another look at your function.php.

I'm no php programmer so I just copied and pasted the functions from the bender theme and changed to reflect your theme name.

Starting to wonder if the problem is in one of the plugin files.
Seems at certain points in the process the user is pointed to the backup gui theme then back again to the installed theme. Of course anyone using the bender theme would not even notice but when an installed theme is used it is noticed. At least this is what I am seeing. Strange why apparently no one else has posted similar.....

I have no clue. Suggest you contact the plugin author.

In any case it looks to not be a theme or Osclass problem so at least you have narrowed it down.

Making what is basically a peer to peer classified script into a ecommerce type script looks tricky....

I am no php coder. This and one other forum, w3schools and the Google search bar are my mentors.
Sorry but far beyond me.

Hey Tom, thanks for trying at least.  I wish someone else would jump in and provide a solution.  No has answered any of my posts so I guess everyone is busy with Christmas or just cannot figure it out either.  I've left a post in the payment plugin forum also so the author has seen it I'm sure.  I'm like you when it comes to php programming, I know very little about it.  I guess I will have to pay someone to do it for me if I cannot figure it out.
