I've done these steps but the reCaptcha is apparently not showing correctly because every try gives out an error message that the code is not entered correctly. It would seem that I am not only one with this problem but no apparent sollution is available.

I have this exact same problem and no one knows how to solve it.
The captcha always says it is incorrect even if it has been solved correctly.  V1 worked, but there is no more support for it soon and V2 does not work.
I have had a developer on the case for the past few days with absolutely no luck whatsoever. The best he managed to achieve is to have it in such a way that you can register without solving the captcha, which is of no use.
This is someone who has developed custom plugins for Osclass, so he does have a lot of knowledge.
Without the captcha working, there seems no way to run a site, since it will get completely overrun by spammers who will also chase off customers from your site when they get bombarded with spam.

If this problem does not get resolved it will be necessary to drop my project and try something else.

Man. In my case captcha v2 doesn't work with tsl 1.2 after ssl v3 was disabled on my shared host.
