Bender vs Twitter
« on: September 04, 2013, 04:58:21 am »
Hey bender users... why did you choose bender over the twitter theme which can be made responsive pretty easily as well? Just wondering, attempting to make a final decision before I spend a ton of time trying to customize to my liking.

The twitter theme doesn't seem to work with the latest version of OSClass.

In which ways? I've got mine working -- although it's still in it's infancy, but it functions...just had to do the css fix detailed in the forums. Or do you mean something else?

Very interesting question that I also have wondered about. There is this huge change afoot to Bender but twitter has been around a long time with much less issues...

Looking forward to answers from those using bender. I have also wondered what motivated the core team to make bender the default....

That is likely. I have not updated my work since Osclass 3.1 and not sure I will. Sort of been un-impressed since the release of that version so haven't done much. Another reason is others have been pirating the works of some of us, then making minor changes and "selling" them instead of returning them back to the community for free.

The truth is that Twitter Did have a few too many issues and some have been  fixed.

we also have a few bug fixes in place and will be sending those code changes to garciademarina

I would think that fixing a few minor problems with an established theme such as the twitter theme, then make it responsive would have been easier then introducing a new "buggy" theme loaded with unknowns and issues.

In any case the question by thedaigle was:

And I wondered the same...

now I would recommend the NEW bender theme, the one that comes with 3.2.1, I did find some problems with the older bender and Im not sure if the market has this same bender as found in the 3.2.1 release .
older bender has some search issues, I know cause I spend a bunch of time making a nice theme only to find the search wasnt working,  I put all those same changes on the newer bender the theme search worked like you would expect.
I decided to go with bender as it seems to have a bunch of functions all built around the new osclass version

Hi
Only the Blue Bender seems to have been updated. How can I change the blue to black?
