What do you want to see in next version (3.1)? Suggestion time!

Hi,

We, at OSClass, want to hear our users what they want to be included in OSClass for the next version. We already have a roadmap of the 3.1 version, but want to know which feature are you missing in OSClass.

We grew up a lot in the last month thanks to your comments, ideas, suggestions,... and we want to keep up growing.

1. I want to see ads expiration date for each one (10 days, 30 days etc....) to be a easy customizable field.  To expire in 10, 30 days etc... after being posted and not to write in category the number of days.
2. possibility to customize search when you make custom fields to be like this website http://www.kijiji.it/, or to have advanced search.
3.  link for see all items to be another and not sitename/search, if it is possible and search to be sitename/search

Thanks for your suggestions.

About the second issue, plugins are for that. With plugins you could create custom fields AND add search filters, which will be impossible to do with out them.

Yes, it is custom fields from admin panel and work to make fields for each category or subcategory when post ads.

But how change in in.search.php to add that name of custom fields? Because here http://doc.osclass.org/HSearch.php I don`t see any cod using custom fields like

You need to create a plugin for that, it's not possible to perform searches on custom fields (it will make OSClass really slow)

Make all plugins compatible with this version.
You have a bad reputation for bringing out new versions OSCLASS
but not resolve the problem of compatibility between versions.
At least you have to explain the changes made so that the community can help.
Failure to explain the new techniques used in the new versions.
Help us, the new updates? Not, if they stop working almost all the improvements made ​​by plugins.

Hacer todos los plugins compatibles con esta version.
Teneis una mala reputacion de sacar nuevas versiones de OSCLASS
pero no se resolve el problema de la compatibilidad entre versiones.
Por lo menos teneis que explicar los cambios hechos, para que la comunidad  pueda ayudar.
Falta en explicar las nuevas tecnicas utilizadas en las versiones nuevas.
Nos ayuda, las nuevas actualizaciones? No, si ellas dejan de funcionar casi todas las mejoras hechas por los plugins.

Hi there,

I am only new still here at osclass so sorry if I ramble a bit . I picked osclass this time around because it is already very flexible, well presented and functions well.
However there are a number of features I have been exposed to in the past with other platforms and think these features would be of benefit to all current users but also to further help promote osclass still in the future.
So ill try and categorise these (and sorry in advance):

Selling Features

• Create Packages (eg price per package which includes #of ads, other benefits like ad title character limitation, description limitation, picture limitation)
• User groups
• Assign packages to user groups
• Customizable limit of characters for title and description per package

Administration

• Bad word filter
• User account ban list (by ip and account level)
• Reserved usernames list

Listings

• Enhanced options such as Bold, Highlighted (like premium but giving multi level promotion)
• Premium Listing Tag image (sits in top or bottom corner of images  to indicate premium)
• New listings tag images (like above but a flag or similar stapled tot eh corner of the image to indicate listing is new)
• User defined Keywords (with admin adjustable limit and made searchable)
• Printer friendly view (not sure if this already exists)

Users

• Full Private Message system
• Optional contact user by email option (Pm system would take over to give admins more control and security)

As I say sorry :s These are the majority that spring to mind. The really big one is the PM system, as from what I can currently see your just using a form that emails the user, so not much control for users to report abusive messages or control over them per se.
Additionally by having a full PM system over the form mailers, your giving users a reason to log into the site, which then in turn will get them to look around while they are there too.

Enhancement of user listing management.

Users with multiple listings want to be able to manage their listings (edit and delete) easily. One way they do this now is by searching for their listings, but when they search for a listing through an identifier i.e. if the name of the listing is 'Red Car 1" they can search for "Red Car 1" through the homepage, but even when they are logged in, they cannot edit it.

Let me know if you have any questions about this suggested enhancement.

Ability to have certain ads listed on other osclass sites that use separate databases example 1 is for all adverts 1 for motors and 1 for property but the 1 for everything also shows ads from the motors and property sites in the right category if that makes sense

Also if a user is not registered give them an option to register in the item post at the same time or be,fore they submit the ad
