Fatal Error After Installation
« on: May 10, 2014, 07:13:16 am »
I have been trying to install  a fresh  latest version of OSCLASS(3.3.2),
on a server with unlimited disk space, unlimted bandwith, 900MB MySQL and  it fails with the following fatal error: Call to a member function numRows() on a non-object   in /home/content/63/11897963/html//oc-includes/osclass/model/Admin.php on line 61
Any help or tips will be appreciated.

Seems like a DB problem.

And smells like a hosting problem.

Again it seems like a hosting problem. Open a ticket with your hoster.

A quick search reveals that this error usually means DB problems (db connection establishing error).

Created a new database.
Deleted + FTP uploaded the files again.
Didn't take the time to select which categories I wanted during the install process
This time install completed!

I have Godaddy and not a single issue ever. Been with them for 8 years and have 15 sites. All built on various web scripts.

And BTW....No host will work with you if you're using a custom script. They'll only work with you if you're using one of their supported scripts in CPANEL. Otherwise they'll tell you to contact the script developer.

1. This forum is FULL of problems with Godaddy.

2. Of cource not. REAL hosting companies will try to help no matter of what you use.

this is the answer from godaddy:

''Thank you for contacting Professional Hosting Support. Upon review it looks as if the error that you are receiving seems to maybe due to database credentials. Please follow to path provided in the error and ensure that the correct database credentials are referenced within the file. If this does not resolve the issue, please reply back to this email with a screenshot of the error that you receive and we will be happy to look into this matter further''

any idea?
